Russia Threatens to Сlock the site of BBC Russian Service
Rosckmnadzor (The Federal Service For Supervision Of Communications, Information Technology, And Mass Media) admitted the possibility of blocking Russian news service of the British Broadcasting Corporation website.
Izvestia writes that such a decision could be made because the BBC Russian Service refused on demand of Roskomnadzor to remove the audio interview with Artem Loskutov in which he urges citizens to come to the unauthorized "March for the Federalization of Siberia.", Censor.NET reports.
According to the staff of the supervisory authority, the interview contains calls to riots, extremist activities or participation in public events held in violation of the procedure established by the law.
"For such publications we can instantly block a resource. If we go this way, we can block the BBC Russian Service entirely within the whole territory of our country," a source close to Roskomnadzor told Izvestia.
