Lavrov Is Concerned About Ukrainian Troops’ Buildup Near Debaltseve

The Russian Foreign Ministry states that the ceasefire is observed in Donbas, but Russia and the insurgents are disturbed that Ukraine is strengthening its positions.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow that the ceasefire is generally respected. Although, some incidents have taken place and "the parties are blaming each other", Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainian Pravda.

The minister said that Russia and the militants have common "concerns."

"The militias and us as a country which has witnessed the Minsk agreement, have concerns about the fact that yesterday there were reports of the concentration of heavy weapons on the side of the Ukrainian troops near Debaltseve," Lavrov said.

"We may conclude that the main attack force is being created. We have informed Kyiv authorities of our concerns. They told us that there are no plans to disrupt the truce there," he added.

As you know, there has been bilateral ceasefire announced in the Donbas since September 5, which the militants have repeatedly violated.

The Ukrainian army force in Debaltseve is actually located in a small corridor, which stretches deeply into the enemy territory.
