Explosion in Nikopol: police say local council member Rybakov injured. VIDEO

As reported by Censor.NET citing the statement of the local police press service, the individual injured in explosion might be a city council member.

The incident occurred at a garage on Trubchenko Street around 6:30 p.m.

Witnesses say they heard powerful explosion.

It was also reported that a 57-year-old man was injured in the blast.

According to the local news outlet Informator, a city council member Oleksandr Rybakov (non-affiliated) received shrapnel wounds in the explosion. He was hospitalized in the surgical department of the city hospital where he was operated on. His health condition is currently assessed as stable.
