Russian proxies committed 54 attacks in Donbas yesterday, caused no casualties among Ukrainian military personnel, - ATO HQ

Over the past 24-hour period, the Russian-backed militants fired upon the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces 54 times occasionally using heavy weapons banned by the Minsk accords.

Censor.NET reports citing the update by the ATO headquarters press center as of March 28, 2018.

"In Donetsk direction, the enemy bombarded Ukrainian troops’ positions in Shyrokyne with banned 122-mm guns and fired upon the defenses near Pavlopil and Hnutove villages with 120- and 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and IFV armament. The invaders also committed strikes with 82-mm mortars on the outskirts of Vodiane and Pisky.

"Defenders of Avdiivka, Novotroitske, Opytne, Kamianka, Shyrokyne, Talakivka, and Pisky were shelled with grenade launchers of various systems. The militants employed large-caliber machine guns against the ATO forces stationed in the vicinity of Marinka and small arms - near Butivka mine and Novomykhailivka.

"In Luhansk section of the forefront, the invaders attacked the Ukrainian troops near Katerynivka village with 82-mm mortars and large-caliber machine guns. Defenders of Shchastia village were fired upon with grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns.

"No Ukrainian military personnel was killed or injured in action," the situation report reads.

Earlier, the Russian mercenaries committed 32 attacks on the ATO forces on March 26.
