The Russian-backed militants continue violating the so-called "Easter truce" in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone: 20 attacks on Ukrainian troops were recorded in Donbas over the past 24 hours.

Censor.NET reports citing the update by the ATO headquarters press center as of April 2, 2018.

"In Donetsk section of the forefront, the enemy bombarded Ukrainian troops’ defenses in Pisky with 82-mm mortars. Defenders of Butivka mine were fired upon with grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms. Sniper attacks were also recorded on the outskirts of this mine. The militants shelled the ATO forces’ positions near Kamianka and Avdiivka with grenade launchers while Ukrainian military personnel deployed in the vicinity of Vodiane village repeatedly came under fire of large-caliber machine guns. Moreover, defenders of Talakivka, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Vodiane, and Shyrokyne were fired upon with small arms.

"No Ukrainian soldier was killed or injured in action over the past 24-hour period," the situation report reads.

According to the press center, the Russian-occupation forces completely observed the cease-fire deal in Luhansk direction yesterday.

"The situation along the entire line of contact is controlled by Ukrainian Armed Forces," the statement says.

As reported, the parties to the conflict agreed yet another cease-fire in the Donbas starting March 30. This time it is dedicated to the upcoming Easter holidays.
