4,000 Policemen Fired at Donbas - Interior Ministry

Many law enforcement officers have been dismissed for breaking the oath.

According to Censor.NET citing zn.ua, after "cleaning" in police departments of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions a fifth of the police officers was fired, the Interior Ministry said.

According to the Ministry, in the Donetsk region 2,919 employees were fired: 1,479 - for negative reasons (breaking the oath, discrediting. - Ed.), 1440 - upon their own request. In the Luhansk region 1491 policemen were fired: 473 - for negative reasons, 1018 upon their own request.

It is also reported that during the ATO 25 policemen from Donetsk and 22 from Luhansk asked to be transferred to other regions. These law enforcement officers remained loyal to the oath to Ukraine, but were not able to work side by side with the "DPR".

In the Donbas,every fifth policeman, or 20% of the personnel, has already left the service. Head of the press service of the Donetsk regional police department Ihor Demin said that every day this number is increasing - they will be dismissed until the police will get rid of all suspicious employees, keeping only the most reliable.
