As reported by Censor.NET citing local media outlet ACC, Private First Class Viktor Ferlievych, born in 1994, was senior mechanic-operator of the infantry fighting vehicle in the 1st platoon of the 1st company of the 1st mechanized battalion of the 24th separate mechanized brigade. He was killed in explosion of a land mine which he triggered during a clash with the Russian mercenaries near Horlivka at about 8 p.m. on May 26.

Ferlievych has been in the field since the beginning of the war in the Donbas. He has been a contract soldier for more than a year. In early 2018 he married a military psychologist of the 24th separate mechanized brigade.
