Ex-customs officer Aminev charged with major theft bailed out

Acting Head of the State Fiscal Service, Oleksandr Vlasov said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine news agency, Censor.NET reports.

"There is only one factor that demotivates to some extent: the person who masterminded the theft (of containers, - Ed.), Denys Aminev was cut loose on Friday (Sept. 21 - Ed.)," he said.

According to Vlasov, a bail of 1.7 million hryvnia was posted for Aminev.

"He was released on bail which is a hundred times smaller than the cost of stolen goods – 1.7 million. The goods in the stolen containers were worth 140 million hryvnia," he said.
