Putin imposes sanctions against Ukraine

President Vladimir Putin of Russia signed a decree imposing sanctions against Ukraine.
As reported by Censor.NET citing a statement on the website of the Kremlin, the imposition of economic restrictions was based upon "hostile moves made by Ukraine in relation to citizens and legal entities of the Russian Federation."
The decree says that all Russian legal entities and individuals who hold nationality of the Russian Federation must "base their actions on the fact that special economic restrictions are applied against certain individuals and legal entities after this decree enters into force."
The Russian government was tusked to make a list of those designated by the sanctions and the nature of the restrictive measures imposed against them.
The decree comes into force on the date of its signing and is subject to cancellation at the request of the Russian government in the event of the abolition of restrictive measures imposed by Ukraine on citizens and legal entities of the Russian Federation.
