Zelenskyi is now even further ahead of other candidates. 26.9 percent of Ukrainians who are going to vote at the presidential elections in Ukraine intend to support Zelenskyi.
He is followed by the acting President Petro Poroshenko - 17.7 percent and Batkivschyna Party leader Yuliia Tymoshenko - 15.8 percent.
9.8 percent of respondents are ready to support a member of the Opposition Platform - For Life Yurii Boiko, 6.6 percent - Radical Party leader Oleh Liashko and 6.1 percent - Civil Position Party leader Anatolii Hrytsenko.
In the hypothetical second round of elections, Zelenskyi by far surpasses both Poroshenko and Tymoshenko.
It is also noteworthy that among the reasons why people want to vote for Zelenskyi is him being characterized as a person not from the existing system and independent from the oligarchs.
However, the majority of respondents (17.8 percent) believe that the current President Poroshenko has more chances to win the election. Slightly fewer people (16.8 percent) believe that the victory will be given to Yuliia Tymoshenko.
KIIS interviewed 2,007 people who live in 134 localities in all regions of Ukraine. The survey was not conducted in the occupied Crimea or in occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The poll’s margin of error does not exceed 3.3 percent.
