Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak announces the abolition of about 100 Defense Ministry orders, which impeded to make important decisions, in particular the passing of new equipment into service.
He said this on air of ICTV, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.
Poltorak insists that it provides the opportunity to arrange the supply of sophisticated weapons and modern equipment as soon as possible. In addition, he noted that the Ministry of Defense has created numerous useless departments that hindered the agency's rapid preparation for combat operations.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense has spent 150 million out of 1.3 billion hryvnia provided for the purchase of weapons and military equipment as of Oct. 31. Poltorak believes that Ukraine should prepare for the unpredictable actions of Russia and terrorists in the east.
