Ukrainian political prisoner Bekirov eats bad in prison

Crimean Tatar Edem Bekirov, accused of alleged illegal preservation of ammunition and explosive devices in Crimea, does not eat anything being afraid of a "leap" of the blood sugar level.

Censor.NET reports citing Krym.Realii.

In particular, Bekirov said that he was taken to Semashko hospital in Simferopol where he underwent a blood test for checking the blood sugar level. He also had a consultation with a cardiologist.

All the medical procedures tool 20-30 minutes. It’s just another regular visit to the hospital. According to the doctors, the sugar level was normal. Bekirov explained that low sugar level was prompted by the fact that he stopped eating well in prison, as he is afraid that there might be "leap" of blood sugar level. He told me: 'I am afraid to eat because sugar level might go up and it might lead to coma'," his lawyer Olexii Ladyn said.
