Kadyrov Accuses Brother of Underground Leader Doku Umarov in Attack on Grozny

Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov blames the fighting in Grozny on the brother of leader of the North Caucasus underground Doku Umarov - Achmat.

He stated this to journalists on Friday in Grozny, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax.

"We have the evidence base that financing, organizing and full responsibility for what happened is on brother of Doku Umarov. Russian law enforcement agencies should demand his extradition from the Turkish authorities," Kadyrov said.

Kadyrov also said that altogether there were eleven rebels, and they were all neutralized.

36 employees of the occupational Ministry of Interior received injuries of varying severity, with two of them in grave condition and six people taken to Moscow for treatment in clinics.
