Russian Duma Deputy Proposes UN to Liquidate Hague Tribunal
Head of the 'Rodina' party, Russian State Duma deputy Alexei Zhuravlev offered his parliamentary colleagues to address the General Assembly of the United Nations on behalf of the Russian parliament with an appeal to eliminate the Hague Tribunal.
He told Izvestia, Censor.NET reports.
"We see that the Hague tribunal has become a punitive agency which takes orders from the USA. People spend decades in the prisoners' boxes without specific charges and without evidences of the crime committed. And we're talking about some mythical 'great European justice' - it's just ridiculous. You can look at what is happening in Novorossia. All the crimes are noted, but no one pays attention in The Hague. Therefore, we must raise the question: either this institution operates under the law, or nobody needs such a tribunal, which does not pay attention to the many crimes and only pursues Serbs," Alexey Zhuravlev commented his draft.
