Petro Poroshenko praised the approval of Ukraine Freedom Support Act by the U.S. Congress. It has been submitted to the Congress in the course of the Ukrainian president's visit to the United States on Sept. 18. The Head of State expressed hope that the U.S. President Barack Obama would sign the given important legislative act in the nearest time to renew the assurance of solidarity of the American people with Ukraine.
The parties have exchanged their views on the financial mechanisms of support to Ukraine. Joseph Biden has confirmed the intention of the USA to provide assistance to Ukraine and make efforts to allocate funds through the IMF.
President Poroshenko received further support of the U.S. vice president in the implementation of the Peace Plan in the Donbas and the interaction aimed at overcoming the economic challenges of Ukraine.
