Unilateral cease-fire by Ukraine deserves respect - Steinmeier

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier announced that unilateral cease-fire by Ukraine in the Donbas deserves respect.

This was announced at the German Foreign Ministry official Twitter account, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.

"Ukraine has declared a unilateral ceasefire for 2nd time, which deserves respect, is a sign of courage and far-sightedness," the message reads.

The head of the German Foreign Ministry noted that he had a very good and intense meeting with Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko and Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, at which the Minsk agreements were discussed.
