Nato assumes that military action may be needed in Ukraine

Nato should be ready to use "all tools in the tool bag" to help Ukraine fight pro-Russian militants in the Donbas.

Nato's top military commander General Philip Breedlove said at a conference in Munich, Censor.NET reports citing Deutsche Welle.

Philip Breedlove has said the West cannot rule out military action in Ukraine. He also said this would mean providing "weapons or capabilities but not boots on the ground".

General Breedlove added that "President Putin's plans for Eastern Ukraine are completely unacceptable".
