Erdogan says Turkey intends to participate in reconstruction of Donbas
Turkey intends to engage its construction companies to restore those areas of the Donbas, that have suffered as a result of the fighting.
This was announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a press conference after the meeting with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainian News.
"We are ready, so that when Ukraine overcomes this difficult period, Turkish construction companies will be involved in the restoration of those areas that have suffered as a result of this conflict," he said.
Erdogan noted that Turkish construction companies carried out projects totaling $4.5 billion in Ukraine.
Earlier, Turkey announced a decision to provide Ukraine with $50 million to cover the state budget deficit.
