Ukrainians will not be evacuated from Nepal today - Emergency Chief

As reported by Censor.NET, Shkiriak said this on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"Unfortunately, we will not start the evacuation today," he said. "The reason is that the Ukrainian plane is not ready."

As reported, the Ukrainian IL-76 could not leave from Delhi to Katmandu to evacuate Ukrainian citizens today because it lacked some spare parts. Those transported from Ukraine did not fit the plane. About 70 Ukrainian citizens are expecting evacuation from Nepal: they are supplied with water, food, and essentials.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced later that the IL-76 was preparing for the evacuation in the Delhi airport.
