Yatseniuk instructed Demchyshyn to impose order in the sector: Firtash and Liovochkin’s companies must pay for the use of gas distribution networks
Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk ordered the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchyshyn to settle the issue of gas distribution networks usage by private companies.
He stated opening a government meeting today, Censor.NET informs citing Liga.
"As for the energetics, our Western partners approved energetics reform, including the adoption of a law on the gas market. Therefore, Mr. Minister (Demchyshyn - Ed.), I want to turn to you once again regarding the fact that the public gas distribution networks, which are now illegally used by the companies of Firtash and Liovochkin, must pay for it, as provided by law. Please submit the corresponding bill of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to impose order in this sector," Yatseniuk said.
It should be reminded that the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on the natural gas market in early April, which in particular obliges regional gas companies, most of which belong to businessmen, to pay for the use of gas distribution networks.
