Court chose measure of restraint for captured Russian commando Aleksandrov
This was announced by presiding judge Valentyna Malynovska, Censor.NET reports citing RBK-Ukraine.
Thus the court satisfied the petition of the Prosecutor's office about the arrest of a suspect for two months until June 19.
The meeting was held via video conference, as Aleksandrov is in the Kyiv military hospital now.
Today Shevchenkivskyi District Court will also be choosing a measure of restraint for the second commando - captain Yevgeniy Yerofeyev.
As reported earlier, servicemen of GRU of Russian General Staff Aleksandrov and Yerofeyev were detained by Ukrainian soldiers near the town of Shchastia on May 16. On May 20 they were charged with suspicion of involvement in terrorist activity in the so-called "LPR".
Speaking with representatives of the OSCE Monitoring Mission, Russian commandos admitted that they used to fulfill various missions in the eastern Ukraine by the order of Russian military command before.

Earlier, official representative of Defence Ministry of Russian Federation Igor Konashenkov said that the Ministry expects the release of the detained Russian citisens in Ukraine noting that the detained Yerofeyev and Aleksandrov are "former" Russian servicemen. Today Peskov, the press-secretary of Putin, demanded to release the Russian servicemen.
