PGO informed Tabachnyk of suspicion of budget funds embezzlement
Prosecutor General's Office served notice of suspicion of budget funds embezzlement to former Minister of Education and Science Dmytro Tabachnyk.
Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin told journalists, Censor.NET informs citing Ukrainski Novyny.
According to him, the notice of suspicion was served May 25. Shokin said that Tabachnyk is suspected of committing crimes under Part 5 of the Article 191 of the Criminal Code (misappropriation, embezzlement or seizure of property through abuse of office).
Shokin also said that the Prosecutor General's Office was going to serve notice of suspicion to one more former official on May 29.
Earlier, Verkhovna Rada Deputy from Samopomich faction Yehor Sobolev admitted that the European Union would lift sanctions against Verkhovna Rada Deputy (non-affiliated) Serhii Kliuiev - the brother of former Presidential Administration Head and former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Andrii Kliuiev, as well as former Education and Science Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk and former Justice Minister Olena Lukash if the Prosecutor General's Office did not serve notice of suspicion to them until June 6.
