Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks in areas of 6 settlements in Donetsk region, - General Staff

Yesterday, the Defense Forces repelled the attacks of the occupiers in the areas of 6 settlements in the Donetsk region.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00 a.m. on December 14 regarding the Russian invasion.

Thus, the two hundred and ninety-fifth day of the Russian large-scale invasion began.

The enemy continues to focus its efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions. Attempts are being made to improve the tactical position in the Kupiansk, Lyman, and Zaporizhzhia directions. In other directions, the enemy is trying to restrain the actions of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Over the past day, our soldiers repelled the attacks of the Russian occupiers in the areas of Verkhnokamianske, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Vesele, and Mariinka settlements of the Donetsk region.

The enemy carried out 31 air and 8 missile strikes on the civil infrastructure of the Donetsk region and also carried out 61 attacks from rocket salvo systems.

In the future, there is a threat that the occupiers will launch air and missile strikes on civilian infrastructure throughout Ukraine.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation remains without significant changes, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.

In the Siversky direction, the enemy inflicted fire on the Lypivka and Khrinivka districts of the Chernihiv region.

In the Kupiansk direction, the positions of our troops were fired upon in the areas of Chervona Zoria, Krasne, Starytsia, Dvorichna, and Novomlynsk settlements in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy fired tanks, mortars, barrel, and rocket artillery at the areas of the settlements of Makiivka, Ploshanka, and Chervonpopivka in the Luhansk region and Yampolivka, Torske, and Vedmezhe in the Donetsk region.

Areas of seventeen settlements were shelled in the Bakhmut direction. Among them are Verkhnyokamianske, Spirne, Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ozarianivka, Pivnichne and Opytne of the Donetsk region. The invaders also carried out an airstrike near the city of Bakhmut.

In the Avdiivka direction, the positions of our troops in the areas of the settlements of Avdiivka, Vodiane, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Mariinka were hit by fire. An enemy airstrike was recorded near the latter.

In the direction of Novopavlivka, the occupiers fired at Vuhledar, Prechystivka, and Neskuchne in the Donetsk region. An airstrike was carried out in the area of the city of Vuhledar.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy continues to shell the positions of our troops and civilian infrastructure along the right bank of the Dnipro River. Areas of nineteen settlements were affected. In particular, Vremivka and Novopil of the Donetsk region; Huliaipylske, Orihiv, Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia; Novovorontsovka, Osokorivka, Novotiahinka, Tokarivka, Yantarne of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

According to available information, the occupiers mined country plots and the coast of the Konka and Chaika rivers within the Oleshkiv urban territorial community of the Kherson region.

The enemy forcibly evacuated the citizens of Ukraine who lived on Velyky Potemkinsky Island near Kherson to the territory still under the control of the Russian invaders.

The occupation authorities are carrying out work on switching the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant to the energy system of the Russian Federation.

During the past day, Ukrainian aviation made 13 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment and 5 strikes on the positions of the enemy's anti-aircraft missile systems.

Units of missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit 2 control points, 8 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, and a warehouse of fuel and lubricants.
