Ukraine can achieve 50% share of "green" energy by 2030, - head of DTEK, Timchenko

Timchenko in Davos, Ukraine has the opportunity to increase the share of renewable energy to 50% in the structure of generating capacity by 2030.
As Censor.NET informs, this was stated by the CEO of DTEK Maksym Timchenko during the round table "Ukraine: acceleration of decarbonization in Europe" at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
"30 GW of renewable energy sources would allow Ukraine to achieve a 50% share of green energy. 15 GW of clean energy could be exported to the EU in the form of electricity and ecologically clean hydrogen," said the head of DTEK.
According to him, this is our DTEK vision of the energy sector of Ukraine until 2030.
"Ukraine can become the main exporter of clean energy to the EU and make a great contribution to the post-war energy security system of Europe," Timchenko emphasized.
We will remind you that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that Ukraine will become a leader in the construction of modern green energy and will create a decentralized energy system based on it.
