Senior U.S. officials advise Ukraine to wait to launch a large-scale offensive against Russian forces until it receives the last batch of U.S. weapons and its troops have received appropriate training.

As informs Censor.NЕТ, a senior U.S. Presidential Administration official said at a briefing on Friday, reports "European truth" with reference to Reuters.

He added that American negotiations with Ukraine on any counteroffensive are taking place in the context of ensuring that the Ukrainians first spend sufficient time training with the latest weapons provided by the United States.

Speaking to a small group of journalists on condition of anonymity, the official also said that the United States is sticking to its decision not to provide M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine because they are expensive and difficult to maintain.
