Britain will provide legal assistance to Ukraine in creation of special tribunal to bring to justice top leadership of Russian Federation, - Guardian

Britain has offered legal support for a tribunal to hold Russian civilian and military leaders, including Vladimir Putin, accountable for war crimes in Ukraine
As reported by Censor.NET with reference to Espresso, The Guardian reports this.
The campaign to create a specialized court was led by British lawyer Philip Sands and former Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
British Foreign Minister James Cleverley said that Russia's war crimes should not go unpunished. That is why Britain accepted Ukraine's invitation to join the creation of the tribunal, offering legal expertise.
Jeffrey Nice, the main prosecutor in the trial of Slobodan Milosevic, said: "I firmly believe that everything that is done from the point of view of responsibility should be done by Ukrainians, in Ukraine, in Ukrainian, and in Russian."
According to him, international experts can advise, but they should not be allowed to lead the process. Nice emphasized that this will help Ukraine avoid potential international pressure when making any decisions related to court proceedings.
