Rada appointed Maliuk as head of SSU

The Verkhovna Rada appointed Vasyl Maliuk as the head of the Security Service of Ukraine.
People's Deputy Oleksii Honcharenko reported this, Censor.NET reports.
"General Vasyl Maliuk has been appointed head of the Security Service of Ukraine. The Verkhovna Rada approved the relevant submission of the President of Ukraine," the message reads.
People's deputy Yaroslav Zhelezniak noted that 324 people's deputies supported the decision.

According to Zheleznyak, Zelensky was present at the vote.
"In his speech, the President called on the people's deputies to vote for Vasyl Malyuk. He noted the role in countering aggression, the return and release of our heroes: The President: "Given such a result and the fact that he was tested by a full-scale war, I consider his (V. Malyuk) appointment fully justified. We are making personnel changes in the field of security to strengthen defense"
Maliuk: "I am a military man and I have devoted my whole life to the defense of the country. The service will be cleansed of traitors. The special emphasis is on the fight against collaborators at all levels," the parliamentarian said.
