Netherlands, Germany and Denmark to buy 100 Leopard 1 tanks for Ukraine
Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark purchase at least 100 Leopard 1A5 battle tanks to be provided to Ukraine.

As noted, along with a hundred tanks, Ukraine will be provided with the necessary ammunition and spare parts. The Netherlands wants to train Ukrainian tankers.
According to Dutch Defense Ministerress Kaisa Ollongren, the modernized tanks will be purchased from Germany.
How many more tanks can be supplied to Ukraine in addition to these 100 will depend on the process of checking the existing tanks in German warehouses, the Dutch Defense Ministry said.
"The war in Ukraine is at a crucial stage. I expect the fighting to get more severe in the coming months. Russia continues to mobilize, and there are signs that Russia is preparing a new offensive. That is why the delivery of battle tanks is important," said Ollongren.
Last year, together with the United States and the Czech Republic, the Dutch government purchased 90 modernized Russian T-72 tanks for Ukraine.
