Finland is part of the coalition to provide Ukraine with Leopard main battle tanks, which involves cooperation not only in the supply of these machines but also in the provision of spare parts, tank crew training, and logistics.
This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Finland, Mikko Savola, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"Yes, we are also involved in cooperation on Leopard tanks," Savola said.
At the same time, he noted that Finland has few tanks. The minister did not specify what exactly the country's participation in the "tank coalition" consists of, but pointed out that "there are many ways to participate in it: training, spare parts, logistics, etc."
"But Finland is involved," he emphasized.
Savola also reminded that Finland has already provided 12 packages of military aid to Ukraine for almost 600 million euros and is preparing the 13th.
