Crimea will always be Ukraine, - Trudeau
Canada has always considered Crimea to be a part of Ukraine and will continue to support Ukrainians in their struggle to restore the country’s territorial integrity.
This was stated by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the occasion of the Day of Resistance to the Russian Occupation of Crimea, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to Ukrinform.
"On this Day of Resistance, Canada reaffirms its commitment to Ukrainians and the principles they are fighting for: democracy, justice and freedom. We will continue to use all available mechanisms to support Ukraine for as long as it takes. As Ukrainians fight for the land that is rightfully theirs, we reaffirm that Crimea is and always will be Ukraine," Trudeau said.
He reminded that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Canada has provided Ukraine with various support worth more than $5 billion, including more than $1 billion in defense assistance.
