Russian war against Ukraine is neo-colonial, - Duda

дуда

Polish President Andrzej Duda said that Russian aggression against Ukraine has a neo-colonial character, and Russia intends to exploit Ukraine, particularly economically.

During the general debate at the 5th UN Conference of the Least Developed Countries in Qatar, the president said that the Russians want to conquer and exploit their neighbors, which is a continuation of historical colonialism. According to him, Poland was also his victim in the past, reports Censor.NET with reference to Polish Radio.

"The empire kidnaps people, including children, and sends them deep into Russia. Ukrainians claim that the Russians kidnapped more than 100,000 children. If someone does not obey its will, the empire kills. Doesn't this sound familiar? Hasn't this happened in the history of many countries? I say this openly because in the past Poland was a victim of the brutal policy of neighboring empires," the Polish president added.

During the conference, President Andrzej Duda also stated that supporting the inhabitants of the least developed countries should remain one of the priorities of the European Union. He noted that these countries also suffered greatly as a result of Russia's attack on Ukraine, including due to the increase in food prices.
