Germany allocated 90 million EUR for new Chornobyl sarcophagus
The government of Germany has transferred 90 million Euros into the fund for construction of a new sarcophagus over the destroyed reactor of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
This was stated by Minister for the Environment of Germany Barbara Hendricks, Censor.NET reports citing the Twitter account of Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andrii Melnyk.
"Environment Minister B. Hendricks: Germany will support the Shelter project at the Chornobyl Power Plant, 90 million Euros have been deposited into the fund," Melnyk stated.
