Famous poet Lina Kostenko is celebrating her 93rd birthday
Today, March 19, the outstanding Ukrainian poet, writer and public figure Lina Kostenko celebrates her birthday. She turned 93 years old.

Lina Kostenko is a living classic of Ukrainian literature, a sixties poetess, honorary professor of the "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" and one of the regular leaders of various ratings of the country's most famous people.
The poetess was born on March 19, 1930 in the Kyiv region. She published her first poetry collection, "Ray of the Earth", in 1957. From 1961 to 1977, it was basically not printed. Among her most famous works are "Berestechko", "Marusya Churai", collections of poems "Vytryla", "Rays of the Earth", "Garden of Non-melting Sculptures", prose novel "Notes of the Ukrainian Samashedshi".
Today, famous Ukrainians happily congratulate Lina Vasylivna on her birthday.
"Today is the birthday of the legend of Ukrainian poetry Lina Kostenko. The sometimes bitter, but apt words of the poetess describe the pain and at the same time the strength of Ukrainians. Thank you for your contribution to Ukrainian culture and for your indomitable nobility!" - noted the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
