Situation in Bakhmut stabilized, but fighting continues - Cherevaty

Ukrainian troops managed to stabilize the situation in the area of Bakhmut, despite the ongoing fighting. At the same time, active artillery shelling continues in the Lyman-Kupyansk sector.
Serhiy Cherevaty, spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this on the air of the telethon, іnforms Censor.NЕТ with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
He noted that the situation in Bakhmut is difficult, but it has been stabilized.
"Yesterday there were 18 assaults along the entire Bakhmut front, today there were 17. Before that, there were 35 to 50 or more. However, this requires more detailed verification and analysis. Perhaps the enemy is maneuvering their reserves. The enemy is still firing at the Bakhmut direction, 268 attacks in total," said Cherevaty.
According to him, our defenders in the Bakhmut sector destroyed a tank, several artillery pieces, two drones, a company command and observation post and 10 enemy ammunition depots in the last day.
Cherevaty added that the enemy has intensified artillery in the Limansko-Kupiansk sector, so the attacks do not stop there. Over the last day, the occupants launched 370 attacks from cannon and rocket artillery. Ukrainian troops repelled 10 Russian attacks in this sector.
The spokesman commented on Western intelligence reports that the Russian offensive in eastern Ukraine has "choked".
"We did not allow the enemy to break through our defense anywhere. We did not allow him to achieve any significant success in a strategic offensive operation. Therefore, perhaps we can agree with this statement," Cherevaty said.
