Scholz confirmed transfer of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz confirms that the Leopard 2 tanks promised by the government in Berlin have arrived in Ukraine.
As informs Censor.NЕТ, this is stated by "European truth" with reference to ntv.
As noted, Scholz said this at a press conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in Rotterdam.
"We have fulfilled what we announced," Scholz said.
In mid-March, Ukrainian tank crews completed live-fire exercises on Leopard 2.
As with other weapons systems, government agencies do not disclose information about the transportation of tanks for reasons of secrecy and security.
Spiegel was the first to report that all eighteen Leopard 2 tanks that Germany had promised Ukraine had been delivered to the Ukrainian side.
According to the publication, the last tanks were taken out of Germany at the end of last week and were recently handed over at the Ukrainian border.
The Leopard 2 is considered to be one of the most advanced main battle tanks on the global arms market. It is superior to Russian tanks mainly due to its more powerful firepower, which usually allows it to destroy enemy targets at the first shot.
A challenge, however, could be the complexity of the system, which requires very intensive maintenance. Therefore, Germany wants to open a maintenance and repair center in a neighboring country to Ukraine.
