Russia violates sanctions against Iran and DPRK, which it itself supported - Great Britain at UN

Great Britain accused Russia of violating UN Security Council sanctions related to the arms embargo on Iran and North Korea, although it itself voted for them.
Matilda O'Kelly, the representative of the delegation of the United Kingdom to the UN, stated this on Monday, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"Russia's decision to launch an illegal war against an innocent country threatens the fundamental principles of the Security Council. And while Russia is getting weapons for its war, it is violating the same UN sanctions that it has imposed on such states like Iran and North Korea," she emphasized.
O'Kelly noted that the broad consequences of the Russian war have also seriously affected food prices and raw materials, which creates risks for the emergence of new conflicts.
She also called on other states not to support Russia and not to provide it with weapons.
"Arming an aggressor state fuels global instability," O'Kelly noted.
At the same time, according to her, in order to protect the principles of the UN charter, the countries of the world should help Ukraine protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
