Russian paratroopers were given "Solntsepek" systems, which may indicate their future role in offensive in Ukraine - British intelligence

Moscow is trying to rebuild the Airborne Forces, which have suffered heavy losses. Heavy weapons systems are transferred to them.
As reported by Censor.NET with reference to RBC-Ukraine, this is stated in the report of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain on Twitter.
As noted in the summary, on April 3, 2023, the Russian mass media reported on the transfer of TOS-1A "Solntsepek" thermobaric rocket salvo systems to the Airborne Forces (Airborne Forces) of Russia.
According to British intelligence, the highly destructive TOS-1A, which Russia calls a "heavy flamethrower," is commonly operated by Russia's specialized chemical, biological, and radiological defense forces in Ukraine and was previously not officially associated with the Air Force.
"The handover likely indicates a future role for the Airborne Forces in offensive operations in Ukraine. It is likely part of efforts to rebuild the Airborne Forces after heavy losses in the first nine months of the war," the British Ministry of Defense noted.
