The head of the Polish government, Mateusz Morawiecki, warned individual European leaders against trying to promote a policy of "strategic autonomy" from the US in Europe, calling, on the contrary, for the development of Europe’s strategic cooperation with Washington.

This is how Moravetskyi reacted to the words of French President Macron, who told reporters after his visit to China that Europe should build "strategic autonomy", not imitate the US throughout and not get involved in "crises that are not ours".
"Some Western leaders dream of cooperation with everyone, including Russia and some powerful states in the Far East. We warn against this, we want to live in peace with everyone, of course. But instead of building strategic autonomy from the United States, I propose a strategic partnership with the United States." , - emphasized the head of the Polish government.
Moravetsky noted that the USA now guarantees the security of Europe, especially its eastern part. Therefore, Warsaw wants to develop a strategic partnership with Washington, which will be the focus of this visit to the USA.
According to him, Poland will preside over the EU in less than two years, and it is transatlantic cooperation, the union of the EU and the USA that Warsaw wants to make "the most important point of the presidency."
It will be recalled that earlier Macron announced the future "strategic autonomy" of Europe.
