Ukraine still needs more modern and powerful weapons from its partners, priority is air defense, - Reznikov

The air defense system remains a priority for Ukraine.
Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov stated this in an interview with the Spanish newspaper La Razon, Censor.NET informs with reference to Espreso.
"Weapons, weapons and more weapons. The priority is the air defense system that closes our skies. I mean modern and more powerful weapons. Now we have MiG-29s, which give us a visibility of 60 kilometers and a target engagement range of 30 kilometers Russian Su-35s have a range of over 200 kilometers, and they strike at a distance of 150 kilometers," Reznikov emphasized.
In particular, the minister noted that Ukraine needs to break Russian dominance in the air, this can be done with the help of F-16 fighters, Swedish Gripins or others.
"I'm sure we'll get them, just like we got battle tanks. It used to be artillery systems. I used to joke when I came to the ministry that my letter to Santa Claus was too long. Now there's only one thing: fighters. About everything the rest is taken care of. You know Star Wars? Maybe the last one is the Death Star," he said.
