US to confiscate Russian assets to rebuild Ukraine, - Attorney General Garland

U.S. Attorney General said that, thanks to new legislation, it is possible to transfer confiscated Russian assets to Ukraine.
As informs Censor.NЕТ, it was reported by the U.S. Department of Justice, citing Attorney General Merrick Garland, who met with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Kostin.
"As I said last time, we are using the new authority granted by Congress to transfer certain assets that we have confiscated from Russian oligarchs," the statement said.
Garland added that these assets are being used to help rebuild Ukraine.
"Our KleptoCapture Task Force - a team of prosecutors, agents, analysts, translators, and other staff - continues to bring criminal cases and make forfeitures against Kremlin sanctioned enablers and the Russian military," Garland said.
