In Bakhmut, occupiers continue to advance slowly, additional forces are being transferred from Donetsk direction, - British intelligence
Fierce fighting continues on the front line in Donbas. However, there is a real possibility that Russia has reduced troop numbers and reduced offensive activity in the Donetsk region, most likely to redirect resources to the Bakhmut sector.
This is stated in the review of the intelligence community of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain, Censor.NET informs.
According to British intelligence, in Bakhmut the forces of the Ministry of Defense of Russia and the group "Wagner" continue to advance slowly. The front line in the city center mostly runs along the main railway line. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back the Russian advance from the south along the line of Korsunsky Street, the old main road west of the city.
"For both sides, the exact sequence of any significant reduction of their units at Bakhmut has become a critical issue, as Ukraine wants to release offensive forces, while Russia is likely to seek to restore an operational reserve," the British MoD said.
