Council of EU gave "green light" to accession of Ukraine to free roaming in EU, - Ministry of Digital

Ukrainians will be able not to pay additional communication fees when traveling in Europe, and European travelers in Ukraine. The Council of the EU and the European Commission support Ukraine joining free roaming with the EU on a permanent basis.
As Censor.NET reports this with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation on Telegram.
In order to ensure such conditions, the European Commission proposed to include provisions on roaming in Addendum 17-3 of the Association Agreement. The EU Council approved this proposal and gave the green light for the approval of the Ukraine-EU bilateral solution.
As noted in the department, the decision must be approved by the Ukraine-EU Association Committee in the trade composition. They are also working there to ensure that all conditions for Ukraine's accession to the Roam like at home zone are met.
The Ministry of Statistics added that today millions of Ukrainians in the EU communicate with their relatives without overpayments thanks to the Joint Statement of operators. Recently, the validity of the application was extended for another six months.
