Losses of Russian Federation have significantly decreased due to transition of Russian forces to defense, - British intelligence

According to British intelligence, in April the losses of the Russian occupation forces decreased significantly, if compared with previous months - apparently due to the transition to defense.
As Censor.NET reports with reference to European Pravda, this is stated in the intelligence review of the British Ministry of Defense on the war in Ukraine dated April 25.
Analysts note that in April 2023, the daily losses of Russians, with a high probability, decreased by about 30% - after being particularly large in January-March.
They calculated that the figures published by the Ukrainian General Staff indicate a decrease in Russian casualties from an average of 776 people per day to 568 in April.
"Intelligence cannot verify the specific methodology used by Ukraine, but the general trend is most likely accurate. With a high probability, Russian losses have decreased after their winter offensive attempts failed to achieve their goals, and now Russian forces are focused on preparing for an expected Ukrainian counteroffensive," the review notes.
Also, British intelligence said that although the condition of the soil in the spring really complicates the conduct of hostilities, Russian propaganda exaggerates the influence of this factor on the expected counteroffensive of Ukraine.
