No one is going to surrender Bakhmut - Danilov
We will not surrender Bakhmut. If the Ukrainian Armed Forces do so, we will roll back to the western borders.
Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, said this during a telethon, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to "Suspilnе".
"The meeting takes place 2-3 times a week, and the issue of Bakhmut is always on the agenda. There are always questions about this city, questions to the military about the strategy in this area, and every time the military answers that this section of the front must be held so that the rest of the front does not "fall apart" so that we can prepare," Danilov said.
When asked about the likelihood of a new Russian offensive, he said that "all options are being considered."
"Our intelligence reports to the headquarters on the state of affairs and actions that the enemy may take. Everything is taken into account, analyzed, systematized and then decisions are made. If the supply of weapons continues at the same pace, which eventually began to happen at a faster pace, then we have our own plan, which no one knows about today," Danilov said.
According to him, a "limited number of people" have information about Ukraine's counteroffensive.
"Only a very limited number of people have information about the so-called 'big counteroffensive'. When, how and in what way, you will see with your own eyes. We are not going to hide anything. I would like to emphasize once again that everything will be Ukraine, victory will be ours. The military is doing its job, we need to wait and take our time," Danilov summarized.
