In Mariinka and Bakhmut directions, most assaults took place. In some places, street battles continue at minimal distances, - National Guard

Russia is concentrating its main offensive efforts on the Mariinka and Bakhmut directions, and street battles continue in these areas, sometimes at minimal distances.
Spokesman of the National Guard, Ruslan Muzychuk, announced this on the air of the telethon "Yedini Novyny", Censor.NET informs with reference to Ukrinform.
According to him, during the week, the front line almost did not move, and the main efforts of the enemy to conduct offensive actions are currently concentrated in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariinka directions.
"But the epicenter (of hostilities. - Ed.) is the Mariinka and Bakhmut directions. This is where the largest number of assaults are actually carried out, and here, in these areas, street battles continue, sometimes at fairly minimal distances," the spokesman noted.
Muzychuk explained that combat clashes take place at distances of less than 100 meters, in some places even less than 50 meters.
The representative of the National Guard also informed that the Russians continue to set up an echelon defense in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson areas.
"The enemy continues to build an echeloned self-defense, to strengthen its positions. And it's not that there are almost no attempts at assaults here - there is also artillery fire. On the last day, according to the positions of the National Guard, there were a little more than 30 of them. And in this area (Russians - ed.) reconnaissance using UAVs is actively used," the spokesman said.
