British Parliament proposes "economic Ramstein" to "stifle Putin’s military machine"
Member of Parliament of Great Britain from the Conservative Party Alicia Cairns proposed the idea of "economic Ramstein" against the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

The head of the foreign affairs committee of the House of Commons reacted to the data released by the chief economist of the Institute of International Finance (IIF) Robin Brooks, which indicates that the sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation did not have such a great impact on the economy of the aggressor state, as Western countries expected.
"This very detailed information further confirms the need for "economic Ramstein" for those who are fighting for the freedom of Ukraine. It is clear that we have not been able to adequately financially strangle Putin's war machine, and we must deprive him of the ability to finance attacks on civilians," Cairns said.
The parliamentarian emphasized that it is possible to do this only if we mobilize as governments to coordinate economic and military actions.
