In Bakhmut, battles are fought for every high-rise building, and sometimes for every entrance, - commander of 93rd brigade "Kholodny Yar", Palisa

Defence forces continue to control and protect supply routes to Bakhmut.
This was stated by the commander of the Separate Mechanized Brigade Kholodny Yar, Colonel Pavlo Palisa, Censor.NET reports with reference to Military Media Center.
93rd Brigade "Kholodny Yar" has been fighting hard for Bakhmut since August 2022. When the soldiers re-entered the city in January 2023 after a short rotation, it seemed that they would be able to hold on for only a few weeks. The occupiers are not sparing their men and ammunition and are leveling the town to the ground.
"But four months have passed and we are still here. The supply routes to Bakhmut are controlled and passable. The first time I visited Bakhmut was in 2014, and I still remember what a beautiful city it was. It was not depressing at all. Now it is completely destroyed," Palisa said.
According to him, in Bakhmut, the fighting is for every multi-story building, and sometimes for the entrance. However, his brigade must continue fighting, as the commander himself says, because defending the city will save Kramatorsk and Sloviansk from the same fate.
"The heavy defense of Bakhmut gives our newly formed units time to train and prepare for future counter-attacks. The enemy's losses in this area are enormous. But I believe they are not enough," he concluded.
