Zero evidence that Russia is ready for serious diplomacy - Blinken

Despite the systematic defeat in Ukraine, the Kremlin, as before, is not ready for serious negotiations and participation in diplomacy.
This was said by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Censor.NET reports with reference to LigaBusinessInform.
"There is zero evidence that Russia is ready to engage in serious diplomacy," Blinken said in an interview with the Washington Post.
The secretary of state cited examples of the Kremlin's ongoing war crimes, including brutal shelling of residential buildings, and said "there has to be some deep change in Putin's mind and in Russia's mind to engage in serious diplomacy."
As for Ukraine, it needs to raise the level of its armed forces in order to "effectively deter new alleged aggression by Russia in the future, and if deterrence does not work, it will defend itself and reflect it," the state secretary says.
In his opinion, "this will give Ukraine the strongest position, help it recover, and continue its political and economic integration into Europe."
