After liberation, Crimea should undergo friendly militarization, - Tasheva

After liberation from Russian occupation, Crimea should be maximally integrated into the Ukrainian and European infrastructure and undergo "friendly militarization".
This was emphasized by Tamila Tasheva, the permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, during the event "Remembering history — returning the territory", reports Censor.NET with reference to Ukrinform.
"Undoubtedly, Crimea should be connected to the mainland of Ukraine as much as possible and, of course, should be integrated as much as possible into the European infrastructure," Tasheva said.
According to her, this should be an economically strong Ukrainian region, fully integrated into all the reforms that have taken place in the country since 2014, and into the humanitarian space.
She emphasized that "friendly militarization" should take place on the peninsula. That is, Crimea must completely get rid of the Russian fleet, instead be included in the Ukrainian context, with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Ukrainian Navy, where the military component properly coexists with civilian life.
Also, the representative of the President in the ARC noted that Crimea should be a tourist-developed region, a year-round resort - but at the same time, it should not be limited to the stereotype of "sea, mountains, sun", but should become a territory where three indigenous peoples develop: Crimean Tatars, Karaites and Krymchaks.
In turn, the Chairman of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, Eskender Bariev, who was also present at the event, emphasized the need for legislative protection of the collective and political rights of indigenous peoples, such as the right to land, language, education, participation in representative bodies, and in particular - self-determination, that is, the creation of a national -territorial autonomy.
