Turkey still does not agree to Sweden’s membership in NATO, - Erdogan

Turkey is still not ready to give the "green light" to Sweden’s accession to NATO.
This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in an interview with CNN, Censor.NET informs with reference to "Interfax-Ukraine".
"Now we are not ready for Sweden. Because a NATO member country must have a firm position on the fight against terrorism," Erdogan said.
According to him, the Swedish authorities allow members of cells of terrorist groups banned in Turkey to "walk freely in Sweden, on the streets of Stockholm", and therefore, at the moment, Turkey cannot be positive about the country's membership in NATO.
As reported, Sweden and Finland submitted applications to join NATO in 2022. As a member of NATO, Turkey set a number of conditions that both Scandinavian countries had to fulfill in order for Ankara to ratify their entry into the alliance. Thus, Turkey demanded that both Scandinavian countries declare Kurdish organizations as terrorists, extradite persons accused of terrorism, and lift the ban on the supply of weapons to Ankara.
Then Ankara announced that Sweden had not fully fulfilled these conditions. Negotiations on Sweden's accession to NATO were frozen.
At the beginning of April, Finland completed all the formalities and officially joined NATO.
